Natural PainKillers
Ginger: recommended dose 1 teaspoon of dried ginger or 2 teaspoons of chopped ginger added to meals daily.
Garlic: to cure an ear infection place two drops of warm garlic oil into your aching ear twice daily for five days. To make garlic oil gently simmer three cloves of crushed garlic in a half a cup of extra virgin olive oil for two minutes, strain, then refrigerate for up to two weeks.
Cloves: dab a little clove oil sprinkled on a cotton swab on the aching tooth.
Peppermint: soak in a warm tub scented with 10 drops of peppermint oil three times a week.

Pineapple: the bromelain in pineapple is known to ease bloated tummy and heaviness. It also improves circulation, stopping cramps and inhibiting inflammation. It may help rid the body of inflammatory compounds that contribute to arthritis.
Tomato juice: sip 10 ounces of potassium-rich tomato juice daily to speed up your recovery, reduce risk of painful cramp flare-ups in as little as 10 days.
Cherries: anthocyanins, the compounds that give cherries their brilliant red colour, are anti-inflammatories 10 times stronger than ibuprofen and aspirin.

Cradle Cap
WHAT IS CRADLE CAP?
If your baby's scalp has flaky, dry skin that looks like dandruff, or thick, oily, yellowish or brown scaling or crusting patches, it's probably cradle cap. Doctors call it infantile seborrheic dermatitis, and it's very common. Nothing to panic about. It is harmless.
Cradle Cap is most often seen in the first few months of life and usually clears up on its own in about six to twelve months – although some children have it for longer. Cradle cap is not restricted to the scalp. It can occur around the ears, eyebrows, eyelids, armpits and other creases. Cradle cap isn't contagious. And it probably doesn't bother your baby at all, although, if it gets severe, it might itch.
The cause of cradle cap is still unknown but definitely not caused by poor hygiene or allergies. Some experts believe that the hormones a baby receives from his mother at the end of pregnancy overstimulate the baby's oil-producing (seborrheic) glands, resulting in cradle cap. Irritation from a yeast that grows in the sebum (the substance produced by the glands) is also thought to be a possible culprit. But there's no consensus on the cause. (coincidentally, excessive sebum is often the cause of acne)
You don't really need to do anything about cradle cap but, but if you feel you need to do something about it, you might consider )for mild cases) to gently massage baby's scalp with your fingers to loosen the scales, then wash with just plain water or a very mild shampoo. Ensure that all traces of the shampoo are removed after washing.
For stubborn cases, try an oil remedy to help loosen dry flakes, do this by rubbing a small amount of pure argan oil on your baby's scalp and leave it on for about 15 minutes. Then gently comb out the flakes with a fine-tooth comb with rounded ends, or brush them out with a very soft brush with rounded ends. Then wash baby’s scalp with a gentle shampoo.
If there is bleeding, or if it spreads beyond your baby's scalp, see a doctor.

Glen House
The new home was to respond to the site and garden closely, to allow
enough space for the family’s diverse requirements – whilst create
separate private spaces within the house, and respond to the fierce
winds which seasonally hurtle down Table Mountain yet provide a relaxed,
homely character in the spirit of Higgovale. The clients selected to
proceed with the Design Development and project construction with
Three14 Architects.

Machu Picchu, Peru
The first thing that strikes you about Machu Picchu is the size. The
view of the buildings in the foreground of the iconic mountain is not a
surprise – everybody has seen that image of Peru’s most famous landmark
dozens of times. But the result of that angle being so popular for
photography is that you rarely see the site from other perspectives.
Finally, standing here myself, I can see the entire complex and am
amazed at what lies before me.
